The Hispanic vagrancy of Jesse A. Fernàndez

The “Hispanic vagrancy” is something that the artist and photographer Jesse A. Fernàndez (1925-1986) has experienced for more than 3 years, moving towards different countries in America and Europe, searching for Spain in every place he went to. A trip through Mexico, Colombia, Guatemale, France, Italy, USA which tody becomes and exhibition “Vagabondaggio e fotografia. Il mondo ispanico di Jesse A. Fernandez” (Vagrancy and photography, the Hispanic world of Jesse A. Fernandez)- organized by Istituto Cervantes at the former church of S. Eulalia dei Catalani. At the centre of the investigation, there is treality the protagonists of the cultural wolrd but also the connection to the Hispanic world in landscapes and people. The exhibition talks about his staying in places which witness his life, for instance in Palermo.
